The Receipt-O-Mat (ROM) is an unassuming vending machine, with an ulterior motive. Its overall goal is to spread the word about Bisphenol-A danger by warning people about the high level of BPA on most types of thermal paper (receipts).
The ROM holds 180 capsules, each of which contains a receipt with a shocking fact about BPA.
The intended reaction from users is disgust, concern and the striking realization that the person has already touched and therefore absorbed the BPA on the receipt when reading the message. The bottom of each receipt contains a link (and QRcode with an imbedded link) to a website with more information about BPA.
